Summer on Cape Cod brings thoughts of sunshine, lobster boats, clam chowder, sunrises and sunsets, sandy hair and fresh air.  I so love that the M family wanted to capture all their years there with some memories and boy did we have fun making them!  

We spent a week on the Cape last year, and there’s just something about it that gives that summer vacation vibe, whether you live there or are just popping in for a visit.  It’s calming, soothing and leaves you restored and ready for another go at “everyday life”.  I think it’s the ocean, and something about being able to smell it in the air means it gets right into your core. 

You can see that vibe in their faces, and their joy, right?  Lots of smiling, lots of glee, with moments of respite in between.

Kinda makes me want to move there.

It didn’t start out that way on this particular day, though!  The storm clouds rolled in and it rained…sometimes poured!… for most of the day.  I watched the radar, knowing that the rain would be gone, leaving dramatic skies and a gorgeous sunset, and I think the Creator did amazing art, as usual!  We ended up with gorgeousness all around!

Salty ocean air.  Moody clouds.  A gorgeous sunset. Happy people.

What more could I ask for?

It really was SUCH a blast to spend time with you guys, M family, and I’m so thrilled that after all these years of dreaming of your own family session, you were able to do it, love it, and remember it forever!

It means such a lot to me to be able to photograph peeps from teeny tiny newborn all through their lives, so thank you so very much for the invitation to join you at the beach on the Cape. Memories forever 🙂
