I’ve been photographing newborns, families, and maternity sessions since 2009. Over the years I’ve refined my photography and built a business centered on serving clients well while creating meaningful images they’ll treasure.
One of my favorite parts of this profession is helping other photographers grow. I’m an open book during our time together. Ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask. I’ll share what’s worked, what hasn’t, and everything I’ve learned along the way.
The photographers who invested in me shaped my career in countless ways. Being able to do the same for someone else is a privilege I don’t take lightly.

One-on-one mentoring

I don’t believe there’s one formula for becoming a great photographer. Every photographer sees the world differently, and that’s a good thing.
My goal isn’t to teach you to photograph exactly the way I do. My goal is to help you strengthen your technical skills, refine your client experience, and build a business that reflects who you are.
Every photographer brings something different to the table. One of the greatest joys of mentoring is helping people recognize those strengths, build on them with confidence, and develop work that feels genuinely their own.
Photography mentoring is available for photographers interested in newborn, maternity, family, or business education.

I’ve photographed hundreds of families over the years, and every single one has taught me something valuable. Those experiences have shaped both the photographer and business owner I am today, and I’m happy to share everything I’ve learned along the way.
This is what is included…
Connect through Zoom to set the foundation
efore your mentorship day, we’ll connect over Zoom to talk through your business, your goals, and the areas where you’d like to grow. This conversation helps me tailor your mentorship specifically to you and gives you time to prepare any questions you’d like to cover.
On the day of the mentorship
We’ll have a customized schedule that covers your needs for your day. We’ll likely start with coffee to chat more in person and reassess how things have gone since we last connected. This is an opportunity to chat more in-depth, as well as get to know each other further!
Your mentorship session
I will select a model family to photograph at one of my MA locations, or a newborn family at the studio, and we will shoot side by side in order to practice the skills that matter most to you, whether it be learning about lighting, composition, portfolio-building…whatever your focus needs to be.
If you would prefer to shoot in your own area, I will arrange a model session for your location. (Travel fees apply.)
Post-shoot dinner & editing
After our session we’ll sit down over dinner (my treat!) to review your images, answer any remaining questions, and walk through editing and workflow if you’d like. It’s often during this relaxed conversation that the biggest breakthroughs happen.
