Cape Cod + Boston Newborn Photographer

You waited nine months.

These first days deserve to be remembered.

Newborn sessions designed for families who want to slow down and capture the tiny details that disappear far too quickly.

BOSTON · CAPE COD · MASSACHUSETTS

You’ll never see them this small again.

The curled toes.
The sleepy stretches.
The way their whole hand wraps around one finger.

The first weeks with a newborn feel both slow and impossibly fast.

Days blur together.
The house is quieter.
And suddenly your entire world has shifted.

During your newborn session, we slow things down.
There’s no rushing, no pressure, and no need to perform. Just your family spending time together while I gently document the tiny details that already feel precious.

The way your baby grips your finger.
The way your partner looks at them when they think no one is watching.
The way your older child leans in, curious about their brand new sibling.

These are the moments that become part of your family story.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Calm, baby-led sessions designed for real life with a newborn.

Your only job is to show up and love on your baby.

From our first conversation to your final gallery, I guide you through every step.

II’ve been photographing newborns since 2009, and as a mom of three myself, I understand how tender and exhausting these early days can feel.

My job is to make this experience easy, relaxed, and meaningful for your whole family.

Even if you’re feeling sleep-deprived and unsure how you’ll look in photos, I promise we’ll create something beautiful together.

In-Home or Studio Sessions

You can choose a relaxed in-home session or visit my calm Plymouth studio.
In-home sessions offer a mix of documenting your real life together, and studio-type styled photos.
Studio sessions offer a quiet, beautifully lit space designed specifically for newborn photography.

Baby-Led Timing

Newborn sessions typically last 2 to 3 hours so there’s never any pressure to rush.
We pause whenever your baby needs to feed, settle, or be held. The entire session follows your baby’s rhythm.

Gentle Direction

You don’t need to worry about posing or knowing what to do. I guide you through simple, natural moments that feel comfortable and authentic.

Even partners who say they hate photos usually leave the session saying it was easier than they expected.

I’m so glad I found Caryn!

I always regretted not getting newborn pictures for my first child, so I was determined to do it for my second! From the start, she was incredibly responsive, helping me choose outfits and prepare for a smooth session. I was nervous my husband isn’t a fan of being photographed, and my toddler usually runs from the camera but Caryn made the entire experience effortless.
She got my husband to smile (genuinely!), kept my toddler engaged, and let me actually sit back and enjoy the session. The photos? Absolutely stunning. She captured every tiny detail, every expression, and the love we share as a family.
    We could not be happier!

Your Questions Answered

Most families reserve their newborn session during the second trimester. Your due date is placed on my calendar, and once your baby arrives we confirm the exact session date.
Because I only accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month, booking early is recommended.

That’s completely normal. Your due date simply holds space on my calendar. Once your baby arrives, you send me a quick message and we finalize the session timing.

The ideal window is between 5 and 14 days old, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curl into those sweet newborn positions.
That said, beautiful images can absolutely still be created if your baby is a little older.

Newborn sessions typically last 2 to 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, and soothing your baby so the session stays relaxed and unrushed.

I provide simple wraps and neutral pieces that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your baby.
If you have a sentimental outfit or blanket you’d like included, we can absolutely incorporate it.

Yes. Siblings are always welcome. We typically photograph sibling and family images first so younger children can relax once their part is finished.

Newborn sessions are completely baby-led. If your baby needs to eat, be held, or take a break, we simply pause. With patience and experience, beautiful images always come together.

Your fully edited gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks. From there you can download your images, share them with family, and order heirloom prints or albums if you’d like.

Still have questions? Send me a message — I’m happy to chat before you commit to anything.
