Christmas Mini Sessions at the tree farm are a beloved tradition for many Caryn Scanlan Photography families—and for good reason. These sessions are quick, fun, and styled with care to bring out the magic of your family’s unique connection against the beautiful backdrop of the season.

Dates & Times
Christmas Mini Sessions are held at Mistletoe Acres Tree Farm in East Bridgewater, MA.
Sessions are scheduled throughout the day between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM with a relaxed buffer between each family to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.
Spots are very limited and have sold out every year.
Investment
$395 per session
– $100 due at booking to reserve your time slot
– Remaining balance is due two weeks before your Christmas Mini session
– $100 is non-refundable

☁️ Weather Plan
Because rescheduling at this time of year is challenging, I’ve built a weather-safe plan into this experience.
If rain or inclement weather is forecast for November 1st, all sessions will be moved to a similar time slot on November 22nd.
This decision will be made approximately 1–2 days in advance, based on the latest forecasts.
If bad weather is forecast for November 15th, sessions will be moved up to November 8th instead.
This call will be made approximately one week in advance due to the timing of the change.
We’ll make the best decision possible—but if we get it wrong, we’d always rather be safe than soaked!

- These sessions are best for immediate family only (up to 6 people).
- If you’re hoping for extended family photos, please book one spot for each family unit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! After almost two decades of photographing families, I know how to work quickly and keep it relaxed. Most clients walk away with 10+ beautiful images to choose from.
Yes. Once you’ve viewed your gallery, you’ll have the option to purchase additional digitals, prints, and holiday gifts. Many families love upgrading to include all their images or grab a few extra keepsakes.
We will plan on keeping the mini sessions as planned unless there is lightning, or a downpour! For our specific weather contingency, please see the Ready To book? section above.
Dramatic skies make for some beautiful photos, so don’t be afraid of an overcast or cloudy day!
Please plan for any scenario – we have had 80 degree days and 40 degree days. Plan for your comfort, and know that it’s a quick 10 minutes and you can plan on warming up with a hot chocolate or something equally fun afterwards! Make it an experience and a fun day out no matter what!

Yes, you can cancel your spot if you are unable to attend – the $100 retainer will not be returned but can be applied toward a future session.
You can reschedule your spot *IF* there are other open spots available. However, do bear in mind that these fill up quickly, well in advance. If there are no open spots, your session can be rescheduled toward *a full family session*. Other mini sessions are not available.
Absolutely! If you’re planning for extended family or want more time and variety, feel free to book back-to-back slots.
Some tips are:
• Avoid bold patterns, words or logos
• Instead of “matching” everyone’s clothes with the same color. vary it and coordinate it by using various colors and neutrals from a swatch like the one below!
Yes, dogs are welcome at Mistletoe Acres!
Please note:
- Dogs must be leashed at all times
- Bring waste bags and clean up after your pet
- Anxious or energetic pup? Early morning slots tend to be quieter
- Let me know in advance so I can be ready with posing ideas!
