“We are sooooo please with our pictures and the way you handled everything for us. You guys were great. Thanks again for the great memories you captured, we will be able to cherish them forever.” Cynthia Phanoef (Olympic Figure Skater) and Max Talbot (Boston Bruin)
“I just have to tell you – as wonderful as the photos may look, the experience we had with you was one of a kind. No other photographer has ever taken the time to get to know our family, our needs, and our style prior to a photo session or even during a photo session – you can tell how much you truly care about each client! We felt so cared for and had such a great experience with you. We hope that we are able to do some one year photos with you. I just want you to know that you are a truly unique photographer!” Newborn / 1st Year Client
“Absolutely GORGEOUS photography, and she is just SO wonderful in person; you won’t regret hiring her. ” Esther Varghese (Boston Photographer)
I have worked with Caryn a few times and I highly recommend her for photography. She is a beautiful Mama who cares very deeply for her subjects and truly knows her technical side too! You are in great hands with Caryn.

“We think you are a wonderful photographer and would be happy to have you at any birth, doing what you do so well. ”
Jessica Petrone (Birth Matters Midwifery Care)
It arrived today! Thank you! And wow, what a presentation. We appreciate all your special touches. We’ll be sure to let anyone we know about your wonderful work. Thank you very much!
Where to begin when you have so many good things to say? I thought about doing birth photography from the start and Google searched to see who was local to where I live, just south of Boston and came to find there weren’t many, and even fewer whose body of work imparted the feel and aesthetic I was looking for, being a photographer myself. I emailed Caryn immediately after seeing her website. The character of her images and the tone of her website and how she describes her process and herself really spoke to me. We met at a café and chatted for a solid 2 hours and I was immediately at ease and we talked about so much more than just the potential job. We talked about values and how we view raising children and I immediately recognized a kindred spirit. With no hesitation my husband and I booked a maternity, birth and new born session with her. We liked the idea of having continuity in telling the story of our first child’s arrival. Caryn was, from the start, flexible, understanding, compassionate, respectful and perceptive. She communicates well and in a timely fashion via email, always with the same warm, courteous tone. The same can be said for phone calls and when the time comes, text messages (yep, 5:30am texts for birth photography). She makes sure you’re comfortable every step of the way and assures you’ll be pleased with your end products by discussing your home décor and where you plan on incorporating her images, she gets a feel for your taste, your life and you as individuals and as a family and creates her artwork with that expressly in mind. She’s not the kind of person who’s going to airbrush you into oblivion where you look at the photo and think—that’s beautiful, but it’s not me….Caryn’s sense of humor will make any woman comfortable—labor isn’t always pretty business, but she’ll be right there to cheer you on. Caryn was a great support for me and unless we wanted to notice her, we didn’t. She very instinctually knows when to step up and when to blend in. Even the nursing staff felt that way about her. Caryn also makes you feel like your big day is just as big for her. She so clearly feels privileged to be part of your process and honored to be with you—truly, I can’t say enough great things about her as a person. As for her work—the images were outstanding. She captured my husband and I and the essence of our joy in the same place we had our engagement photos for the maternity shoot. She made us laugh and kept me company and provided me with moments I would have be too busy to remember otherwise during the birth shoot and the images she took for the newborn shoot became our first family Christmas card. The wrapped canvas print we received is gorgeous—the texture is lovely, very professional and it looks like a painting. Even my husband who’s critical of those things loves it. The prints are on beautiful, archival quality matte paper (slightly lustrous) and the colors are rich and velvety. I love the personality each of them displays. Caryn got our prints and album in very quickly, which is great, and asked for feedback on style and color choices at each step. I felt like a partner in the process with someone I could trust to give me good guidance and feedback. Bottom line, working with Caryn is great and the investment in the memories is worth every penny.

My experience in dealing with Caryn has been nothing but amazing. Her pictures are absolutley beautiful as well as her personality. She is very in tune to her subjects. She responds right away with any questions or requests. I wish I lived closer as I would have her phtograph my family as we grow because she has been a pleasure to work with.

I found Caryn on Facebook and instantly fell in love with her photos! I had to have her photograph my son as well as do family photo’s for us. Prior to our photo session Caryn came to our home to discuss what we were looking for and had great suggestions as to where we could display our photo’s and what sizes would work best in those areas. Our photo session was a blast! It felt like we were just having a day at the park with a friend as oppose to a rigid, staged photo session. Caryn was very timely posting our proofs to view, and every one was better than the last! So much so that it was hard to narrow it down to which ones we wanted! When we made our decision and received our photos we we were very happy. They came out great! I can’t wait to have her take newborn photo’s of my next child!

When Caryn approached me during my second pregnancy and asked if I would schedule a newborn photo shoot I was excited and hesitant. I truly wanted newborn photos taken of my sweet baby girl but I had high expectations. I was nervous to entrust a friend with the job of capturing the essence of my perfect little newborn. Could Caryn portray sweet innocence in sharp and professional prints? And would she be creative, use props, listen to my ideas and feedback?
Yes! Caryn’s work has amazed me. The photographs from her newborn session were fabulous. Caryn came to my home, worked with a variety of props, and backgrounds, and prepared proofs for us to view within a few days.
Caryn shot a four-month session for us as well and the results were again breathtaking! With her camera she recorded each little eyelash and reflection in my daughter’s eyes. The images in the photographs seem more accurate and detailed than those seen by my naked eye.
Each time Caryn completes a photo shoot and blogs about it I am eager to see her work. Whether recording the joys of infancy, celebrating a family, or photographing wedding bliss… Caryn captures the essence of each moment, preserving treasured memories.
Thank you , Caryn.

We’ve been lucky enough to have Caryn photograph several significant events for our family. Most recently, she captured the birth our our third child and first daughter…at our home…in a birthing tub! Caryn’s mix of professionalism and warmth were beautifully translated onto each photo she took. She had a way of re-telling our birth story in such a moving and simple manner. Not only does Caryn have skill, but she has also been gifted with an enthusiasm and joy for her work. That is priceless! Her desire to minister via photography is a blessing and we’re so grateful to know her as a friend and photographer!
